Apple Inc.'s Steve Jobs was on hand to unveil the iPad 2 in San Francisco Wednesday morning.
The CEO of Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) -- who has been on indefinite medical leave -- told attendees he didn't want to miss the event.
Despite being out of the limelight except for a private Silicon Valley CEO dinner with President Barack Obama last month, Jobs has reportedly been in regular touch with top executives in Cupertino and is still calling the shots at Apple.
