Georgia tax revenue up $148M in February
Georgia ranked 16th for tax revenue last year, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s “2010 Annual Survey of State Government Tax Collections” published Wednesday.
The Peach State took in nearly $14.8 billion in 2010, the report shows. This included $4.9 billion in general sales tax (down 8.3 percent) and $7 billion in individual income tax (down 10.1 percent). These two categories make up the bulk of the state’s annual revenue from tax collections.
