Thursday, February 10th, 2011
Construction of a $25 million digestive services center on Meredyth Drive should get under way this spring, Phoebe Putney Health System CEO Joel Wernick said Tuesday.
Wernick, speaking to the Dougherty Rotary Club, spoke about Phoebe’s growth, which includes the acquisition of Palmyra Medical Center.
The digestive services center at Phoebe’s Meredyth Place complex has been in the development phase for several months. The announcement Tuesday comes roughly five months after Phoebe officials announced that they had purchased the former Ordinary Coyote restaurant adjacent to the complex in hopes of using it to expand existing services.
