SWGA Regional Airport will Have New Terminal

The $15 million project is expected to be completed by 2013. Economic development leaders say it will promote a more positive image for South Georgia.

Construction on the airport terminal began this week, and already passengers are seeing some changes in getting on and off the jets.

Passengers flying into the Albany airport today had a new path to follow to get into the McAfee Terminal. The jet parked more to the west part of the apron, and passengers could not help but notice the digging. On the east side of the terminal there is a 13 foot deep hole, as new storm drainage is laid out.
