Regions Bank Helps Customers Guard Against Identity Theft with IdentityProtect

Because identity theft can happen to anyone, anytime and anywhere, Regions Bank now offers a simple way to help customers guard against a crime that affects millions each year with Regions IdentityProtect.

"Regions IdentityProtect complements our existing safeguards against fraud and offers customers peace of mind by making identity theft protection simple."

Regions IdentityProtect, part of the Regions suite of Protection Services, provides customers with three services that help with the protection, detection and resolution of identity theft:

Triple-Bureau Credit Alert(R) - Customers receive 24-hour credit monitoring of all three credit reporting agencies and can be alerted automatically of certain changes to their credit.

Card PatrolSM - Customers can register up to 10 debit or credit cards. Cutting edge security scanning looks at real-time transactions on these cards for any usage that could potentially be fraudulent. Customers are notified of the questionable usage within 24 hours.

Insurance and Support Services - Regions IdentityProtect provides up to $2,500 in insurance to help cover qualified expenses incurred in the recovery of a stolen identity. Through the Identity Fraud Support Service, enrolled customers receive assistance with paperwork and other issues involved in recovering from identity theft.

Customers can enroll in the new service at any Regions Bank branch or online at regions.com/identityprotect. The cost for the service is $5 per month.
