Friday, February 18th, 2011

Georgians again hovered above “emergency crisis,” ranking eighth worst in terms of financial distress levels in the CredAbility Consumer Distress Index published Wednesday.

The Peach State scored 61.3 percent on the index’s 100-point scale, compared with 61.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2009 and 61.2 percent in the third quarter of 2010.

A score below 70 indicates a state of financial distress. A score of 60 or less is considered an emergency crisis.
