Georgia Ethanol Plant Operator Files Chapter 11
Southwest Georgia Ethanol LLC, Georgia’s largest corn-ethanol maker, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
As recently reported, the unit of First United Ethanol LLC of Camilla, Ga., received a written notice Jan. 19 from the New York office of WestLB AG, a German commercial bank, indicating the company violated terms of a $100 million construction loan and a $15 million working capital loan.
