The Albany State University College of Education recently welcomed Bonnie L. Chambers as unit assessment coordinator. A former grants and contracts administrator in the College of Education at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla., Chambers reports directly to Dr. Kimberly King-Jupiter, dean of the College of Education.
Her duties include warehousing all student performance data related to the unit’s key assessments, such as Georgia Assessment for Certification of Educators (GACE) scores, course-generated candidate performance data and collecting data to generate reports as needed for external reporting agencies and programs within the college.
Chambers also works collaboratively with Information Technology to develop and maintain a web site to warehouse and disseminate student performance data to faculty, program directors, chairs and the dean. Her other responsibilities involve completing Professional Education Data System (PEDS), Title II, and other annual reports required by external accrediting bodies, and working with faculty to produce reports on student performance data for Specialized Professional Association (SPA) reports and National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
Chambers’ previous work experience also includes positions at Emory University and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
A graduate of Westwood College in Anaheim, Ca. with a bachelor’s degree in visual communication, Chambers will complete her MBA in June.
