Georgia Leads in Initial Jobless Claims

About 445,000 U.S. workers filed initial claims for unemployment benefits last week, a rise of about 35,000 from the previous week’s revised figure, according to a weekly report from the U.S. Department of Labor.
The four-week average for initial claims was 416,500, an increase of 5,500 from the previous week’s revised average
