Georgia Companies Show Double-Digit Increase in Value

The value of the shares in Georgia’s largest publicly traded companies rose by double-digit percentages last year, and some local money managers expect the good times to continue in 2011.
The median total return for 2010, including dividends, was 19 percent for Georgia’s 25 largest stocks, as defined by market value. The median return is the point at which half the stock returns are higher and half are lower.
