Gas up 1 Cent a Gallon in Georgia

Georgia’s average price per gallon of gasoline is up 1 cent this week to $3.01, according to AAA Auto Club South.

The national average price of unleaded regular gasoline also is up 1 cent to $3.09 per gallon.

The price of crude oil moved slightly higher last week after the Trans Alaska pipeline was forced to shut down after a reported leak, AAA noted. The temporary shutdown caused oil prices to increase by $3.51 to settle Friday at $91.54 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
