ATC to Hold First Responders Vehicle Dedication Thursday

As part of its January 50th celebration, Albany Technical College will hold a First Responders vehicle dedication on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at 2:30pm, at the Charles B. Gillespie, M.D. Center for Emergency Responders. Light refreshments will be provided afterwards.
Albany Tech will dedicate a 1947 Mac Fire Truck donated to the college by the City of Dawson Fire Department, a police car donated by the City of Albany and the Albany Police Department, and an ambulance donated by Dougherty County. The fire truck will be placed as a showpiece on display beside the Center for Emergency Responders, while the police car and ambulance will be utilized for hands-on instruction for the Law Enforcement Technology and Paramedic Technology programs at Albany Tech.
The next 50th event will be held on February 18th at the Albany Civic Center and will serve as the official convocation ceremony for the 50th Anniversary. More details to come.
