Uncertain Fate of Bush Tax Cuts Leaves Taxpayers in Limbo
Press release from the issuing company
Wednesday, November 10th, 2010
As best he can, Armando Johnston has been following the fate of the George W. Bush-era tax cuts, which include lower income tax rates, a bigger tax credit for child care and elimination of the so-called marriage tax penalty.
Those and other benefits stand to disappear on Jan. 1 unless a lame-duck Congress takes action to continue them before members head home for the holidays.
Try as he might, though, Johnston, a 38-year-old resident of Dunwoody, doesn't know what Washington will do or what he should do in response.
