Sales Rising Again for State's Top Companies

Georgia’s biggest businesses are seeing a resurgence of the Big R: revenue.

Nine of the state’s 10 biggest companies posted revenue growth in the third quarter, with Home Depot, due to report later this month because it is on a different fiscal calendar.

But in several cases the biggest percentage gain in revenue came from beyond U.S. borders.

UPS, for instance, said revenue grew 9.3 percent overall, including 11 percent internationally and 6.2 domestically. Delta Air Lines posted a 10 percent gain in overall passenger revenue, but 29 percent internationally.
