Recovery Looks Promising, but new Jobs Likely to Lag

Just when Georgia’s economy appears headed down the road to recovery, along comes a slew of statistics and predictions to scuttle the happy-trail scenarios.

On Wednesday, a panel of economists at Georgia State University predicted -- cautiously and with enough caveats to fill a dump truck -- a nascent economic revival. But then they mentioned unemployment, inflation, corporate confidence and any number of other economic bugaboos that could sidetrack the recovery.
