Albany Tech Public Relations Department Wins Award for Annual Report

The Public Relations department at Albany Technical College recently won a MarCom 2010 award and an honorable mention. The PR department earned the Platinum award in the Annual Report/Educational Institution category for the 2009 Annual Report entitled “Growth: Cultivating a Productive Workforce,” designed by Wendy Howell. The Platinum Award is the highest level of award achieved. The campus news magazine, Access, received an honorable mention.
The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievements by marketing and communications professionals. Each year, there are more than 5,000 entries from throughout the United States and several foreign countries; only about 15 percent win Platinum Awards.
MarCom is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence.
