Georgia Eighth in Hospitality Job Growth

The recession has hit Georgia’s banking, construction and real estate industries particularly hard, but the Peach State’s leisure and hospitality industry appears to remain a strength.

Georgia ranked eighth among the 50 states and the District of Columbia in the number of leisure and hospitality jobs added in the five-year period between 2005 and 2010.

During the past five years, the state added 15,400 jobs, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
