A group of business leaders appointed by Gov. Sonny Perdue to look for greater efficiencies in state government held its final meeting Tuesday at the Georgia Capitol.

During an hour-long celebration of the achievements of Perdue’s Commission for a New Georgia, the governor thanked the panel for producing 130 recommendations that led to an estimated $700 million in recovered revenues and cost savings.
