Video Conferencing Could Save Dougherty County Money in Court

Dougherty County won't have to pay travel expenses to bring witnesses to testify at trial, thanks to stimulus money.

After getting three bids for a Telejustice Video Conferencing system, commissioners are ready to consider a contract from SKC. The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant for more than $376,724 will pay for the system and allow the county to hire another worker in the District Attorney's Office, saving money in the long run.
