Georgia Department of Labor Career Centers in Camilla and Moultrie, along with other local organizations, will sponsor a job fair for employers, veterans and other job seekers in the area.

The event will be held Wednesday, September 29, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the American Legion Post 141, located at 141 Legion Dr. in Camilla. Other event sponsors include the Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce and the Mitchell-Baker Employer Committee. Employer committees are groups of local business representatives who establish and maintain working relationships between employers and Georgia Department of Labor Career Centers.

The job fair will feature a number of employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. Some employers will be hiring, while others will be discussing possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers and other organizations will be providing educational and other resources. Applicants should bring copies of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings.

Employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies expected to participate in the job fair include: Avon Products, Combined Insurance, Delta Life Insurance Company, East Baker Historical Society Commercial Kitchen, Experience Works, Georgia Army National Guard, Georgia Department of Corrections, Georgia Pines, Keystone Foods, Labor Finders, Moultrie City Police Department, New Hire Solutions, Rescare, Right From the Start Medicaid, Riverside Manufacturing Company, Southwest Georgia Community Action Council, Southwest Georgia Technical College, Telamon Corporation, Turner Job Corps, and Walden University.
