Georgia Construction Employment Down 5.3%

Georgia’s construction industry continued to shed jobs in August.
New data from the Associated General Contractors of America shows the industry in Georgia employed 158,800 in August, down 5.3 percent (8,400 jobs) from August 2009.
From July to August, the Peach State’s construction employment was down only 0.2 percent (300 jobs).
