Barnes Discusses Jobs, Education in Albany

Georgia's Democratic candidate for Governor was working this Labor Day, making a campaign stop at an Albany community event.

Roy Barnes believes job creation in Georgia is all within the control of the Governor. Barnes claims education is key and isn't happy with the most recent cutbacks in education funding. Barnes says of Georgia's 10 percent unemployment rate, 6.5 percent are those who have a high school diploma or less. Barnes said he would be in favor of raising the drop out age, and taking more immediate steps to help business.
