Area Employer Committee to Host Seminar

Some of the community’s business owners might need help with a few complicated issues: When do I have to pay overtime? Do I need to pay out sick pay or vacation balances for former employees?
An expert in the labor field is coming to the rescue. The Albany Area Employer Committee and the Georgia Department of Labor’s career center in Albany will co-sponsor a seminar.
The topic will be the U.S. Department of Labor’s Fair Labor Standards Act. The act, which sets standards for minimum wage and overtime pay, affects most private and public employment.
