Albany Businesses Skeptical of Small Business Act

"Hopefully, this will be the wake-up call for Albany, to let them know that small business is where it is," said Guy Outlaw of Ezee Copy.

That’s one local businessman’s reaction to the new Small Business Jobs Act.

The $42 billion dollar bill is a combination of banking incentives and tax breaks designed to encourage lending and stimulate job growth.

Debbie Finney is with the University of Georgia Small Business Development and thinks some parts of the bill could be helpful to small business, like the government agreeing to back certain loans as way of encouraging banks to put capital back into the economy.
