Cutliff Grove Raises Flags

I am pleased the Albany City Commission reversed its course Tuesday night on the Cutliff Grove fiasco.

It appears that taxpayers across the city don’t like what has transpired with the Cutliff Grove loan situation. I’m told that people from every district in the city have been vocal with their commissioners.

I don’t know what really happened with the $374,000 of city tax money that has been wasted. Few people do, mainly because it has been difficult to get a straight answer about the money.

Until Wednesday, it had been impossible to get any answers from the Cutliff Grove people. Herald reporters had tried on numerous occasions to talk with the Rev. McKinley Drake, Cutliff Grove’s pastor, and other officials connected to Cutliff Grove.
