PSC OKs Georgia Power Supply Plans

Georgia took a step toward reducing its appetite for electricity Tuesday when the state Public Service Commission approved a plan to compensate Georgia Power for seven new energy-efficiency programs.
The programs include incentives for residents and businesses, aggressive marketing of energy-saving equipment and lighting, and a program to encourage construction of energy-efficient homes.
