Look for a lively race for 2nd district Congress this fall.  Longtime incumbent Sanford Bishop will face a strong challenge from the new Republican nominee Mike Keown.

Keown jumped out with an early lead Tuesday night and held on to easily defeat opponents Rick Allen and Lee Ferrell.  Keown, who's campaign slogan is "Boot Bishop", hopes that's just what he can do in November.

We caught Keown's supporters as the news was announced.  There was thunderous applause by his many supporters, many who drove from all over the district to be there for the celebration.  His wife Kathy was the first to congratulate Keown, a state representative who has been a Baptist Preacher for years.
