Homebuyer Credit Deadline could be Extended

Homebuyers who need a little more time to close their loans might still qualify for a special tax credit.
Homebuyers who signed contracts by April 30 had until the close of business Wednesday to complete the sale to qualify for tax credits. But the U.S. House voted Tuesday to extend the closing deadline to Sept. 30 and the Senate is expected to vote this week.
