Georgia Nearly Worst for Job Losses

While 20 states added jobs between June 2009 and June 2010, Georgia lost more jobs than any other state except California.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Georgia lost 49,600 jobs year-over-year in June, ranking it 50th among the states. The rankings include Washington, D.C.
The Peach State had 3,829,000 jobs in June, down 1.28 percent from June 2009.
Only California, with its much larger population, lost more jobs -- 213,400.
