Georgia Among Nation's Worst Economies

Georgia has the sixth-weakest state economy, according to a midyear review of state employment trends by Portfolio.com and bizjournals, the Internet arm of American City Business Journals, parent company of Atlanta Business Chronicle.

This year’s study puts Nevada in 51st place, dead-last among the 50 states and the District of Columbia. California ranked 50th, followed by Florida, Michigan, Rhode Island and Georgia.
