Ga. Foreclosures 35% of Q1 Sales

Georgia had a higher-than-average percentage of total house sales coming from foreclosures in the first quarter, according to data Wednesday from RealtyTrac.
Some 35.4 percent (or 8,382) of houses sold during the period in the Peach State were foreclosures. This compares with 47.3 percent in the first quarter of 2009 and 14.5 percent in the fourth quarter of 2009.
