Strive 2 Thrive gets a big boost from the City

The city of Albany is giving $10,000 to an initiative that is working to eradicate poverty. Albany has the regrettable distinction of being one of the 10 most impoverished cities in the country.

To combat that, the chamber has launched a campaign called Strive to Thrive. They hope to break the cycle of poverty and help families get educated, get better employment, and live better lives. (read more at walb.com)
