The Albany Area Employer Committee and the Georgia Department of Labor’s Albany Career Center will co-sponsor a seminar-luncheon for area businesses Thursday, June 24, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be at the career center, located at 1608 South Slappey Blvd. in Albany.

The seminar will focus on the following topics: HR Employer Law Update – Today and Tomorrow and The Employee Handbook – Your First Line of Defense. The seminar will be led by C. Jason Wilcox, an attorney with Moore, Clarke, DuVall and Rodgers, P.C. in Albany.

Employer committees are groups of local business representatives who establish and maintain working relationships between employers and Georgia Department of Labor Career Centers. Beth Lane of Albany, human resources director for Crowe’s, Inc., which is also known as U Save It Pharmacy, is the chair of the Albany Area Employer Committee.
