Georgia unemployment brings mixed news

The Department of labor says the state's unemployment rate in April dropped by a tenth of a percent to 10.4%. But at the same time, the number of long term unemployed grew by more than 10,000 in Georgia.
Those without jobs for six months or more now make up 43% of jobless Georgians. For more than two and a half years, Georgia's jobless rate has exceeded the national average, which is now 9.9%. And Aaron Johnson who teaches economics at Darton College, says the longer someone is unemployed, the harder it is to find a job later on. (read more at walb.com)
