Small Business Office gets reprieve from county

In a 5-2 vote, the Dougherty county Commission adopted the Small Business Program Monday morning. A 2008 disparity study showed the Disadvantaged Business Office was unconstitutional because it made decisions based on race and gender. The city commission voted to get rid of the program altogether, so if the county didn’t approve it, Director Pinky Modeste and her staff would have been out of work. (read more at WFXL.com)
