Pretoria Fields - A Georgia 2021 Small Business Rock Star

Staff Report

Tuesday, May 4th, 2021

Dr. Tripp Morgan, founder of Pretoria Fields, grew up surrounded by agriculture in Camilla, Georgia.  He began brewing beer as a hobby, dreaming of one day opening his own brewery, but decided to put it on hold while he pursued a career in medicine. In 2017, he was able to turn this dream into a reality, and Pretoria Fields brewery opened their tasting room doors in downtown Albany.

In pre-COVID-19 times, Pretoria served as a brewery community space with tours, live music, food trucks, and other activities. Today, they offer beers on tap made from fresh, local ingredients sourced from all around the Southeast. Pretoria sets its focus on sustainable resource management and sets a great example of Georgia farming done right.

We are proud to present Pretoria Fields with an award for being a 2021 Small Business Rock Star for Region 10. We thank them for their work with COVID-19 hand-sanitizer production and recognize their willingness to partner with farmers from across the Southeast to keep farming pertinent for the future of our state. They continue to go above and beyond, and we are proud to call them our partners.
