Nominations for the 2022 Class of Leadership Albany Are Now Open

Staff Report

Thursday, May 13th, 2021

Leadership Albany was established in 1984 for the purpose of identifying and developing leaders in the Albany, GA area, exposing them to issues and problems confronting the community, informing them about institutions in the community, and providing a forum for the participants to better know each other. The program is designed to be an educational experience and as such takes no position and does not attempt to create a consensus or promote specific actions. Rather, it is hoped that the participants, with their increased knowledge of the community and a heightened awareness of its institutions and familiarity with its leaders, will involve themselves fully in community life and properly utilize their leadership abilities.

Nominations for Leadership Albany’s annual class opened on May 13, 2021.  Nominations must be made by an alumni, and can be submitted online at our website www.leadershipalbany.org.  The deadline is May 28th.

Nominees should demonstrate leadership abilities for the benefit of Southwest Georgia, are typically already successful leaders with diverse backgrounds, represent varied business, civic and non-profit sectors, and are poised to substantially increase and broaden their scope of leadership capacity within their personal and professional lives.  Anyone interested in being nominated should seek out a Leadership Albany alumni to discuss their interest.

The Class of 2022 will begin in January.
