AB&T and its parent company, Community Capital Bancshares, Inc., are pleased to announce the promotions of Perry Revell and Matt Rushton to Executive Vice President at a recent meeting of the Board of Directors.

The moves come on the heels of certain organizational changes made earlier this year, streamlining bank operations into two distinct areas of focus: “Strategy and Execution” and “Revenue Production.”

Revell, who has been with AB&T since 2011 and currently serves as a commercial loan officer and marketing director, will head up Strategy and Execution and will be responsible for the bank’s operations, loan administration, branch banking and marketing.

Rushton, who joined AB&T in 2012 and currently serves as a commercial lender and facilities manager, will oversee Bank Revenue and be responsible for commercial banking, private banking, mortgage and credit.

“We are really excited about these promotions,” said AB&T Chairman, President and CEO Luke Flatt. “Perry and Matt are not only two of the most well-respected bankers in South Georgia; they are two of the finest people I’ve had the pleasure of working with throughout my banking career. These promotions are well deserved and are vital to the future success of this institution.

“Thanks to Perry and Matt’s influence and ability, AB&T has enjoyed sustained success over the last few years, and we believe that success will only continue under their leadership in each of these critical areas.”

Revell began his banking career in 2006 as a Credit Portfolio Manager with SunTrust and since that time has developed a reputation as one of the area’s top commercial bankers. His attention to detail and his ability to see how those details inform the big picture, have also allowed Revell to emerge as an important leader within the bank and the community, as he currently serves on the board of the Albany Dougherty Economic Development Commission and is Chair-elect of the Board of Directors of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce.

“Perry’s attention to detail and his ability to formulate a clear, strategic vision for the future, whether that be in his role as an advisor to his clients, or as a leader within AB&T, make him the ideal person to oversee the way in which the bank delivers on its promise of providing the Gold Standard of community banking,” Flatt added. “We’re blessed to have someone of Perry’s personal character and professional ability helping to guide our future.”

A native of Albany, Rushton began his banking career in 2002 and in the ensuing 17 years has emerged as one of South Georgia’s top commercial relationship managers. By providing customized solutions that meet the needs of companies of all sizes, across multiple industries, Rushton has become a trusted advisor to countless area companies that rely on his unmatched understanding of the Southwest Georgia economy and its top industries to help meet all of their banking and financing needs.

Rushton is also highly involved in his community, serving on the Board of Trustees for Deerfield-Windsor School and on the Finance Committee of First United Methodist Church. Rushton is also active on a state and regional level, serving on professional committees and boards, as well as working with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Georgia Allies on the annual Georgia Quail Hunt.

“There are few bankers as well-respected in Southwest Georgia as Matt Rushton and we’re honored that he is not only a part of the AB&T family, but also in a position to help lead this company into the future,” said Flatt. “With Matt overseeing the bank’s revenue streams, I am certain that AB&T will continue to grow and contribute to the economic vitality of this region well into the future.”
