Staff Report From Albany CEO

Thursday, May 14th, 2015

Leadership Albany is holding its graduation ceremony for the Class of 2014-15 on Thursday, May 14 at the historic Nelson Tift Building in downtown Albany (226 West Broad). The event begins at 5:15 p.m. with fellowship and social time, and the Annual Meeting and Commencement follows at 6:30 p.m.  This is a special graduation, in that Leadership Albany is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year.  Members of the 2015 Class will be reporting on their experience and their community service project.

Leadership Albany was established in 1984 for the purpose of identifying and developing leaders in the Albany area by exposing them to issues confronting the community, informing them about institutions in the community, and providing a forum for the class participants to better know each other.  Over the past 30 years, Leadership Albany’s hundreds of graduates have gone on to serve the community in a variety of ways as elected officials, Board members, and volunteers.
